The story

The challenge

Several venues, each with its own floor plan and table layout. New reservations come in every day at all the restaurants, and the dining rooms are sometimes fully booked.

A queue instead of an inbox

Online reservations land in the queue as pending. Staff check it as often as several times a day and accept reservations one by one, so guests don't wait long for a reply.

A table matched on the floor plan

Once accepted, a reservation is given a table in the floor view. Colors show which tables are free, and the table size is matched to the number of guests. When no single table fits the party, staff combine two tables according to that dining room's rules.

A decline that suggests another time

When the dining room is full, the guest doesn't get a flat no. The reply offers several available times, in Polish and English: first on the same day at a different hour, then on the following days. The guest knows when to come, and the free tables fill up.
